Artist Blacksmith's Association NSW Inc

The Artist Blacksmiths Association of NSW (ABANSW) was founded in 1993 at the Timbertown Heritage Park, Wauchope. It has grown to a state wide presence as the peak body for artist blacksmiths in NSW - connecting makers across the state, supporting their practice, and championing their work to the widest possible audience.

Our 126 members range from those just discovering the forge to established artists with decades of practice and national recognition. What unites them is a commitment to pushing the boundaries of what fire and iron can do - from functional objects to large-scale contemporary sculpture.

ABANSW supports its members through a program of exhibitions, workshops, skills development, demonstrations and collaborative projects across NSW.
